About the CSBC Business Forum

The 2nd Belt & Road Sweden-China Business Forum at the Grand Hotel Winter Garden is being hosted by the China-Sweden Business Council in cooperation with the new association BRIX which is launched this day.

BRIX is an abbreviation for the Belt & Road Initiative Executive Group for Sweden. BRIX members include entrepreneurs, economists and strategic thinkers, with a wide range of competence in Swedish and Chinese global economic affairs. Their common understanding is that the BRI is significant not only for good economic relationships between China and Sweden, but fundamentally beneficial for economic development and peace worldwide. BRI is the most decisive joint world effort to erase world poverty. Sweden should join BRI immediately in order to fulfill its commitment to the UN Agenda 2030.

The goals of the BRIX are to promote an open dialogue and greater awareness about the BRI as such, and to develop bilateral business exchanges between Swedish businesses, especially innovative small and medium sized enterprises (SME), and interested partners in the Chinese market and other markets working together with the BRI.

The great potential that is presented by the BRI for Sweden and other industrial nations is unlimited, not only for trade with China, but especially by joining the development programs initiated by the BRI in Africa, Asia and South America.
